If your Hilo Cuff does not inflate during a measurement, don't worry. In most cases, the issue can be resolved by following the steps below.
1. Switch ON the cuff and fully charge it
Before troubleshooting, make sure the cuff is fully charged and switched on.
The LED indicates the cuff's status:
LED Status | Meaning |
🔴 Blinking red | Battery low |
🟢 Blinking green | Charging |
🟢 Steady green | Fully charged |
🔵 Blinking blue | Ready to pair |
🔵 Steady blue | Paired |
⚪ White / Light blue | Firmware update in progress |
If the LED starts blinking blue after you switch the cuff on, it is powered on and ready to use.
2. Check for a mechanical issue
Occasionally, the inflation mechanism may become stuck.
Try gently pressing the two white pins located inside the cuff connector. Pressing them in and releasing them may help restore normal operation.
3. Contact Hilo Support
If the cuff still does not inflate after completing the steps above, please contact us through our Contact Us page and provide:
a detailed description of the issue;
a short video showing the cuff and its LED while attempting a measurement;
the cuff serial number (printed on the packaging) or an enlarged photo showing the serial number/QR code.
