How do I take a Camera measurement? Print

Camera measurements are currently available only on certain iPhones: Which phones support Aktiia camera measurements? This feature is not yet supported on Android devices.

To take a camera measurement, open the app, navigate to the "Measure" tab, and select "Take Camera Measurement" The system will take three measurements, each lasting 30 seconds, and average the results for accuracy.

Grant camera permissions when prompted. Place your index finger fully over the rear camera lens, rest your hand on a flat surface, and apply gentle pressure without discomfort. Sit upright with your back supported and feet flat on the ground, then tap "Start Measurement" and remain still and silent while the app evaluates signal quality.

If the measurement fails, ensure your finger completely covers the lens, your hand is steady, and you are sitting comfortably without excessive movement. Once complete, your blood pressure and heart rate results will be displayed. Regular measurements are recommended for reliable trends.
